Neill Smith was a much loved man. He was well liked by everyone, he always helped those who needed it.

Gillian Sandford, who has died of cancer aged 53, was a journalists whose independent spirit took her to far-flung corners of the world to report with distinction from danger zones.

Kiran was a treasure. A lively, vivacious, witty and intelligent young woman, though sometimes clumsy and untidy. She was a great daughter and an amazing sister. She was truly loved by all of her friends, family, colleagues and peers.

Our Merryn was beautiful, bright, energetic, funny, joyful and courageous, a child full of love and life. Epilepsy struck her down when she was just hitting her stride, about to move forward into 'big' school and young adult life. She was just 10 years old when she died and she is missed more than it is possible to describe.
