Sheilagh Jones was born in Liverpool on August 23, 1936. Her family lived in the southern centre of the city until they were bombed out in 1940 and had to relocate in Woolton. There she grew, was educated and thrived.
What she suffered she told so few,
She did not deserve what she went through,
Tired and weary she made no fuss,
But tried so hard to stay with us.
Unselfish ways, a heart of gold,
No finer Mother this world could hold.
